In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
